On my way to-and-from the Union Project, it's not uncommon that I will travel through Oakland. It's a bit of a scenic route compared the the strip district and offers a change of pace. But occasionally I will also travel down Centre Avenue and through the Hill District, and that neighborhood tends to be a bit rougher. On my past few trips, I've noticed what looked like a political sign, only it read: "Stop Shooting - We Love You". It wasn't until today that I found out where this sign came from, and since I'm all for supporting fellow local artists, I highly recommend watching this video and visiting the site LoveFrontPorch. Her name is Vanessa German and she's an artist. Enjoy -Ben Love Front Porch from Love Front Porch on Vimeo.

Well, I've been working on building a photo booth so I can start photographing my work again. After I get the lighting done, you will see new photos, new artwork, and most importantly... the Shop will be up and running! But for now, here's something to keep you entertained in the meantime. |
